Title: Cyber Security and Privacy: An Optimist's Perspective

Abstract: 
This talk will present the speaker's personal perspective on
the current state and future prospects for cyber security and privacy.
The evolution of information systems into cyber systems, which involve
the interaction and inter-dependence of physical and computer-based
systems has only just begun.  Our societies will require informed
leadership from the current generation of college students to sort out
the many issues, known and unknown, as they emerge.  We will touch on
a few of these during this talk, from a realist optimist perspective.
